- Zumba Class
Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements, which create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system. This class format combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits. The cardio-based dance movements are easy to follow steps that are fun, different and effective.
- Warm Yoga
This is a Vinyasa, flow-style class taught in a warm (80-90 degree) room. A great way to warm, stretch and strengthen the body!
- Gentle Beginner Yoga
This class is for the beginner yoga participant. Paula teaches a nice, gentle flow class with modifications to each pose. This class is 45 min. long...a perfect beginning for those in search of yoga.
- Yoga Exploration
Every Wednesday 12:15pm - 1:15pm at Yoga for Life
Come explore yoga’s endless benefits. During this sixty minute class Angela will help you explore the many facets of yoga. Classes will include meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises) and asanas (postures). Each class will vary in content and be tailored to students’ interests. Everyone will be encouraged to ask questions and expand their knowledge. The class is open to all and is appropriate for all ability levels. Shanti Yoga School students can earn contact hours with an observation write-up.Boise yoga teacher Angela Bryson is a graduate of Shanti Yoga School and a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance. She was trained at an interdisciplinary school and has studied with a wide variety of teachers including Debbie Murphy, Sean Corne, Hala Khouri and Julian Walker. The focus of her studies has been on emotional yoga and the use of self empowerment to increase life satisfaction.
- Therapeutic Yoga
This restorative yoga class will include supported postures, breath awareness exercises and guided meditation. The sequencing, pace and tone of the class is specifically designed for those who are in the process of healing or have ongoing health challenges. This class is perfect for those with Fibromyalgia, Multiple sclerosis (MS), Arthritis, Asthma, other autoimmune diseases or in recovery from illness or surgery. Discussing your participation with your doctor is highly recommended previous to attendance.
- Saturday Morning Renewal
9:00 am to 10:15am Come and join us for Saturday Morning Renewal with emphasis on Vinyasa style yoga designed with “all levels” in mind. The focus of this class will be on the basic yoga postures, healthy alignment, breath, and meditation techniques. This class will explore asanas (postures) including standing, seated, twists, backbends, inversions (including shoulderstand, headstand preparation), and the performing of the Sun Salutations series. Saturday Morning Renewal blends asanas with connecting movements (Vinyasa) with a strong connection to the breath. This combination will build internal heat while improving strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. TheSaturday Morning Renewal will be a physically and mentally challenging practice, come join us!
- Yogalates
Yogalates is a mix of yoga and Pilates. A full body workout with some nice yoga stretches.
